I’m a composer based in Lyon, France, specialised in film scoring. My work includes several movies such as Big-Little Brother, a feature film directed by Karima Guennouni and produced by JanaProd, long format documentaries like Not Even Afraid by Valérie Costantino and produced by BEALL productions, as well as numerous award-winning animated films such as La Nuit Blanche by Audredy Delepoulle and Hammam by Zélie Elkihel.
I’ve been the laureate and the prizewinner in several programs/festivals including La Maison du Film’s TRIO and Crescendo programs, Aubagne/Marseille music and cinema festival’s master class, the OST challenge film scoring competition and the “Third Character” program in the film music festival of Ghent.
I hold a master’s degree from the MAAAV program specializing in music composition for visual arts as well as a bachelor’s degree in musicology.
Being originally from Syria, I grew up being exposed to several artistic and cultural influences: traditional middle-eastern music, orchestral music in connection with my music learning as a classical violinist, Rock and electronic music of the 2000s and then Jazz and contemporary music.
All of these factors – in addition to my own personal experiences – shaped my music and sound.
In addition to my composer activity, I’m also a member of the musical duo NŪSH; a project on crossroads of electronic and traditional Armenian music.
